Pure Tibetan Yak

Pure yak is a rarity. Yak cattle, which live in the Tibetan highlands, are kept by farmers in small herds. These shaggy giants are highly valuable, and they are carefully tended and cared for. The animals have a particularly dense coat consisting of an outer coat and an undercoat. The fine undercoat is obtained by combing, especially before the onset of summer, before the animals are sheared and before they would naturally lose their undercoat. In this way, approximately 600 g can be obtained per animal. Because the hair is so light, it requires significantly less than other types of wool. This quality is pre-washed, pleasantly lightweight, and incredibly soft.
